Sullivan Catskills and Legends of the LPGA Partner for the 2025 Celebrity Charity Golf Tournament at Resorts World Catskills

Historic Catskills Region Welcomes First Professional Golf Tournament in Decades, Combining Sports, Charity, and Community

Monticello, NY – The Sullivan Catskills, a region celebrated for its breathtaking landscapes, storied history, and legendary hospitality, proudly announces the return of professional golf to the area with the 2025 Legends of the LPGA Celebrity Charity Golf Tournament. Taking place June 26–28, 2025, at the reimagined Monster Golf Club at Resorts World Catskills, this event marks the region’s first professional golf tournament since the 1960s.

Presented by the Legends of the LPGA and the Grateful Hearts Association, the tournament will unite LPGA Hall of Famers, celebrity entertainers, amateur players, and first responders for a weekend of championship golf and meaningful impact. The event's mission is to uplift aged-out foster care youth with life-changing opportunities while also honoring Sullivan County’s local heroes.

A Legacy of Hospitality and Natural Beauty

Since the 19th century, the Sullivan Catskills has welcomed visitors seeking fresh air, pristine lakes, and peaceful escapes. The region is known for launching the careers of entertainment legends like Mel Brooks, Woody Allen, and Joan Rivers, and became world-famous as the site of the 1969 Woodstock Music and Art Festival in Bethel, NY.

The Monster Golf Club: A Reimagined Icon

Recently revitalized with a $40 million renovation by renowned golf course architect Rees Jones, the Monster Golf Club stretches 7,327 yards and blends classic design with modern challenges—creating a stunning venue for this historic event.
